Monism

Definition:
                 a point of view within metaphysics which argues that the variety of existing things in the universe are reducible to one substance or reality.  Unity = universe


Sample Sentences:

  • Substance monism need not have any implications concerning God or an absolute.
  • Monism isn't the same thing as Monotheism. 
  • Monism is the belief that everything in the universe is made out of one element.
