Interpolate

Definition of Interpolate:

to insert or introduce between other elements or parts; to insert into a conversation/text

Sample Sentences:

  • I have been known to interpolate my opinion sometimes when it's not needed.
  • Putting my friend on hold, I interpolated my mothers' number into the text messages.
  • I interpolated the paper into small strands.

Usage:

A huge pet peeve of mine, when people interpolate themselves into my conversation.  It seems as if they it's their right to become involved in others' conversations.  Another thing that can nag me, whenever people, besides parents, interpolate themselves into my bedroom without asking.
